ASTM A478: Standard Specification for Chromium-Nickel Stainless Steel Weaving and Knitting Wire. It covers mainly 300-series (or austenitic) round stainless steel wire intended for weaving and knitting.
ASTM A555: Standard Specification for General Requirements for Stainless Steel Wire and Wire Rods. This standard should be followed when tolerances of stainless steel wires are not specified by clients.
